A note about web publishing: In 2006, advertising began rapidly draining from print publications, and moving over  to sponsoring web content, shrinking the number of newspaper and magazine pages. There are several advantages in web publishing: * The articles stay available almost indefinitely, garnering readers over a much longer length of time. * They are not thrown out with the trash soon after they appear.  * And, they are read by folks far away from a publication's normal circulation area.
